Understanding Architecture's Place in the Success of the Golf Facility Part 1

Wednesday, February 3
1:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Are you a superintendent wanting to expand your understanding of what a golf course architect’s involvement really means when it comes to your course and the golf industry? The goal of this session is to discuss the roles the golf course architect plays in the golf industry beyond the obvious visual proof of the work. This session is a part one of two that will dive into topics and conversation that will enhance the superintendent’s understanding of what architecture is and how it affects the function of the facility. Primary topics that will be covered include:

• Ball Rollback; look at how length is impacting the existing golf layouts and influencing remodels.

• Architecture Sells, and Here’s Proof; understand how context, agronomy, maintenance and personal style affect design
