Data-Driven Irrigation Management

Tuesday, February 2
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm

In the past, when water availability and costs were not as great of a concern as they are in today’s environment, superintendents could afford to rely more on ‘feel’. Now, real-time weather data, soil moisture sensors, and site-specific management equipment offer today’s superintendents an array of resources and tools to manage water more effectively. Attendees will learn:

• Practical approaches for use of weather-, soil moisture -, and spectral-based technologies

• Apply most informed agronomically sound irrigation management decisions

• Spatial variability of soil physical properties affecting irrigation management decisions on golf course fairways
