Changing Species or Cultivars - Interseeding success

Thursday, February 4
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm

Discover simple fixes to improve conditions when you cannot afford a full-on renovation, take advantage of the new cultivars, and utilize strategies to improve cultivars of all species of turf which will enable them to be maintained with less inputs (fungicides, fertilizer, water). This session will review potential opportunities for savings with cultivars and management. There will be discussion of examples and strategies for various species including Creeping Bentgrass, Kentucky Bluegrass and Fine Fescues in greens, tees, fairways and roughs. Participants in this session will learn how to:

• Identify and apply potential savings from interseeding new cultivars to your maintenance schedule

• Analyze your golf course to define which area(s) could benefit most from interseeding

• Reduce targeted inputs after incorporating targeted species

• Actively monitor improved golf course conditions and golfer satisfaction
