Advanced Management of Ultradwarf Bermudagrass Golf Greens - Disease and Pests

Diseases and nematode infections and infestations are significant factors potentially limiting success of management of ultradwarf bermudagrass greens. The key is recognition and management of potentially devastating root and crown diseases such as spring dead spot, take all root rot, leaf and sheath spot (mini-ring) and Pythium diseases will be covered. Options for detection and management of nematodes such as sting, lance, root knot and stubby root will be discussed in the context of current control methods.
