Ambassador Academy is back at GIS in 2019 featuring two dynamic speakers you won’t want to miss. Former Texas Congressman Henry Bonilla will join Ambassadors to provide insight on how day-to-day life in Congress really works and how you can play a role in the legislative process. Then, Capitol Hill veteran and former House Agriculture committee science advisor Dr. John Goldberg will lead Ambassadors through a messaging training session, touching on how to effectively communicate difficult issues with members of your club, community, and Congress.

Join GCSAA Government Affairs staff to get the meat and potatoes of advocacy. Great for newbies and seasoned ambassadors alike, this session, conveniently located right off the trade show floor, will cover how to secure meetings with members of Congress, what to say and how to say it, and how to follow up for future successful engagements. Special guests joining the conversation will be 2018 Grassroots Ambassador Leadership Award winners Anthony Williams and Nick Janovich, who will lend their insight into how they’ve effectively built relationships with Congressional offices in their states.
