GCSAA Collegiate Turf Bowl Competition

The Turf Bowl exam features a written case study, as well as a wide variety of multiple choice, short answer and identification questions covering the agronomic, business and financial management aspects of the superintendent profession.
This exam is for turf students only in teams of up to four participants. Each participant must be a member of GCSAA, a registered attendee of the Golf Industry Show and register as part of a team on site before the exam or at the Turf Bowl Kick-Off Reception. A total of $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the top 10 teams during the Closing Celebration.

Charles Cooper is this year's Prayer Breakfast speaker.
Cooper is a 44-year veteran of Christian ministry. Having begun preaching at age 15, pastoring at age 17, and becoming a college professor at age 26, Cooper remains actively involved in the kingdom business of Jesus Christ. Cooper has authored or co-authored eight books; lectured in churches, colleges, and seminaries across the world; and planted three churches. Presently, Coop is a teaching pastor at First Baptist Church in Windermere, FL and maintains an active speaking, consulting, and training ministry around the world.
Open to all faiths, this gathering provides an inspiring beginning to your day and a place to share fellowship and prayer.

With hundreds of exhibitors spanning thousands of square feet of exhibit space, the GIS trade show gives superintendents, owners, technicians and other golf facility professionals the opportunity to network and discuss the latest products and services in turf and facility care. The show floor also includes special features such as Inside the Shop, presentations from GCSAA TV, free education on the show floor, the New Product Showcase and the GIS Silent Auction.

First Green is GCSAA's STEM education outreach program. It pairs golf courses with local schools for a fun filled field trip packed with science, technology, engineering and math lessons viewed through the lens of golf. Attend one of the demonstration events on the trade show floor to see the lesson plans in action. If you are traveling with your children to Orlando, bring them with you to join in on the fun! (Children will need to have a trade show pass to get to the demonstration.)

U.S. Navy fighter pilot Carey Lohrenz will close out this year's Golf Industry Show as GCSAA shines a spotlight on heroes, including those from the GCSAA family, who have served their country.
As the first female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilot in the U.S. Navy, having flown missions worldwide as a combat-mission-ready United States Navy pilot, Lohrenz is used to working in fast moving, dynamic environments. She is uniquely qualified in the fundamentals of winning under pressure, reducing errors, and overcoming obstacles. Lohrenz will share fascinating experiences gained and lessons learned from operating in an aircraft carrier – one of the world's most challenging environments.
