Gerald L. Miller Jr., Ph.D.


Lee Miller, Ph.D. is an assistant professor and extension turfgrass pathologist at the University of Missouri.  He received his MS degree from the University of Georgia and earned his Ph.D. at North Carolina State University.  In between degrees, he was the Manager of Turfgrass Research at the Chicago District Golf Association.  His dissertation focused on the biology and management of fairy rings, including the development of a preventative fungicide application strategy using DMI fungicides for control.  His current research involves root diseases caused by Pythium spp. in creeping bentgrass, and integrated management practices for spring dead spot on bermudagrass and large patch on zoysia.
