Dale Bremer, Ph.D.

Dale Bremer, Ph.D., is a Professor of Turfgrass Science at Kansas State University.  He earned degrees in agronomy from the University of Nebraska and Kansas State University.  He grew up on a crop and livestock farm near Scotia, Nebraska, and has an extensive background in agriculture and plant research, especially in the area of micrometeorology—the study of the physical environment immediately surrounding plants and crops, which is where they interact with weather.

Since 2001, Bremer has been applying his research skills in micrometeorology to turfgrass, which endures considerable stress under the continental climate of Kansas.  His main goals are to assist the turfgrass industry in areas of the industry’s greatest challenges, including water conservation, turfgrass environmental stress, and exchanges of greenhouse gases between turfgrass and the atmosphere.
