Walt Osborne is the Key Account Manager - Golf for Syngenta Turf and Landscape, focused on business development with multi-course operators and national golf accounts. With a degree in agronomy from Iowa State University, Osborne works to foster business development and relations through initiatives that improve turf conditions as they relate to customer needs, aspirations, and the bottom line. Responsibilities include account specific marketing program creation and implementation, customer-based training initiatives, NGCOA Top Agronomic Officer steering team committee participation. Involvement has led to multiple initiatives designed to support golf course efforts in sustainability, personnel development, and deployment of digitally based tools to assist golf course maintenance.
Osborne is involved in on-going project management efforts that include implementation of Operation Pollinator for improved pollinator health. Since its launch in the US, over 250 golf courses in 30 states have established pollinator forage sites. He continues to develop and utilize the Syngenta EcoMeasure carbon footprint measurement tool and supports CourseVision efforts to improve golf course maintenance overview and efficiency.
