Marco Schiavon, Ph.D.

Schiavon_MarcoMarco Schiavon, Ph.D., is an assistant professor, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences - Environmental Horticulture Department, University of Florida. He earned his bachelors in agronomical sciences and masters in agronomy from University of Padua, Italy, and Ph.D. in agronomy from New Mexico State University. In 2013, he moved to the University of California, Riverside where he worked as an assistant researcher in botany and plant sciences. He has published 21 refereed journal articles and obtained a USGA grant for his Ph.D. project. His primary research interests include potable water conservation for irrigating turfgrass areas, salinity management, physiology of turfgrass in response to drought stress.
