Kyle D. Sweet, CGCS, is the superintendent at The Sanctuary Golf Club, Sanibel Island. From the age of 12, Kyle has been a golfer and a golf course employee in some capacity. He relocated from Central to North Florida to attend Lake City Community College, graduating in 1993 and landing the assistant superintendent role at The Sanctuary Golf Club. Sweet has led the way environmentally for the club, becoming Audubon Certified. He has worked closely with the neighboring J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, the City of Sanibel and groups and foundations around the island, protecting and preserving the islands natural habitats throughout his tenure. Becoming a Certified Florida Master Naturalist in 2016, Sweet conducts golf course wildlife and plant tours throughout the year for members and guests.
Wildlife and landscape photography are passions of Sweet and his photography can be seen throughout the Sanctuary clubhouse and island community, highlighting the abundant and diverse wildlife and beauty of Sanibel.
