Jared Hoyle, Ph.D., is currently an Associate Professor, Extension Turfgrass Specialist and Director of the Rocky Ford Turfgrass Research Center at Kansas State University. Hoyle has developed an applied research and extension program that focuses on cultural and chemical weed management in turfgrass and managing/establishing low input turfgrass systems. Prior to joining the faculty at Kansas State University in 2013, Hoyle earned his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture Science in 2006, Master of Science in Crop Science in 2009 at North Carolina State University and Doctorate in 2012 in Agronomy and Soils at Auburn University. He also conducted turfgrass research as a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Georgia from 2012 to 2013. Throughout his career Hoyle has delivered over 200 turfgrass educational programs at local, regional and national levels.
