James J. Nagle

Nagel_JamesJim Nagle has been with Forse Design, Inc. since March 1998. Nangle gained valuable design experience as a design team member with Dye Designs, Denver, Colo. Dye Designs offered full exposure to the golf design profession and design philosophies of Pete and Alice Dye. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University Nagle joined the Pennsylvania-based Landscape Architecture firm, Derck & Edson Associates. He began as a staff designer, was promoted to project manager and obtained his professional Landscape Architect’s license while completing numerous golf design and landscape planning projects in the Central Pennsylvania region. Since joining Forse Design, Nagle has been the lead designer on numerous projects throughout the U.S. including courses hosting USGA National Championships. Lancaster Country Club is one of the most recent and is set to host the Women’s Championship again in 2024. 

Nagle is a member of the GCSAA and has presented at numerous regional and state conferences on a variety of golf design topics. He also speaks annually to Landscape Architecture students about the golf design profession. Nangle has been married to his wife, Meghan for 14 years and is the father of two girls, Maura and Maeve. He also enjoys running, hunting, golfing and spending time with his family.
