Gerald M. Henry, Ph.D.


Gerald Henry, Ph.D., is Professor, Turfgrass Management and UGA Athletics Board Endowed Professor of Environmental Turfgrass Management. He earned both his bachelors and masters degrees at Rutgers University and his Ph.D. at North Carolina State University. His research program focuses on the area of environmental turfgrass science with an emphasis on plant/pest/environment interactions. Within that discipline, Henry conducts research in a wide range of subjects that include physiology, ecology, weed science, fertility, and management. His research program is dedicated to providing local and state-wide support for golf course, athletic field, and home lawn turf management.
