Like most golf course architects, he learned under the direction of an established golf architect. Forrest's mentor was the late Arthur Jack Snyder, a past-president of ASGCA. Forrest established his own firm, Forrest Richardson & Associates, in 1988. His clients range from private clubs and resort owners to publicly owned golf facilities. Forrest has authored five books on golf course architecture, and is a member of the USGA Museum Committee and is actively involved throughout the golf world as a speaker, contributor and evaluator for golf courses and their owners.
