Today, there are approximated 200 soil surfactant products available in the US golf and sports turf markets and Superintendents are bombarded with a plethora of soil surfactant product claims. It can be overwhelming and exhausting hunting for the right product as soil surfactants can be crucial in treating a mass of turf related conditions such as dry spots, mitigate soil water repellency, rootzone water delivery, water use efficiency, and the list goes on and on. This seminar will provide research-based guidance help make those decisions by clearing up confusion or misconception regarding product claims. 

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Identify variances in surfactant classes and their impacts on plants, microbes, and soils
  • Understand what surfactants can and cannot do in soil water management and water repellency
  • Select the best soil surfactant product for water and soil management practices at their facility
