The interactions between plants and their pathogens is complex, involving a wide array of defense strategies.  It is important for superintendents to know how these turfgrass pathogens infect turfgrasses in order to potentially recognize first signs and take the necessary steps to respond with intervention or enhance turfgrass defenses to reduce disease infection spread and recovery.

Attendees will learn:

  • How turfgrass pathogens infect turfgrasses
  • Identify first signs of infection and treatment resistance
  • Short term rapid responses to infection in turfgrasses to lessen disease incidence
