Golf Industry Show Virtual Event Code of Conduct

GCSAA and the Presenting Partners of the Golf Industry Show are committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all virtual event participants. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, instructors, volunteers, VIPs, exhibitors, staff members, service providers, etc. in the virtual event are expected to abide by the Golf Industry Show Virtual Event Code of Conduct.

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct provides show administration with the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the virtual event (without warning or refund) and the right to prohibit attendance at any future events, whether virtual or in-person. Incidents of unacceptable behavior in violation with the Code of Conduct will not be tolerated.

Zero-tolerance will be allowed for any form of discrimination or harassment, including, but not limited to, sexual harassment by participants or our staff while attending the virtual event or any of its components. If you personally experience any form of harassment or discrimination or if you hear of any incidents of unacceptable behavior, please contact GCSAA immediately at mbrhelp@gcsaa.org or at 800-472-7878.

Unacceptable behavior is defined as:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any form; participants should exercise consideration and respect in their speech and actions at all times
  • Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, instructor, volunteer, VIP, exhibitor, staff member, service provider, or any other participant
  • Verbal abuse includes, but is not limited to, comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion (or lack thereof), national origin, neurodiversity, pregnancy, or any other protected category
  • Inappropriate use of nudity, sexual language, and/or sexually explicit images in any area of the virtual event or in reference to the Golf Industry Show on other platforms
  • Threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, instructor, volunteer, VIP, exhibitor, staff member, service provider, or any other participant
  • Intentional disruption of any presentations, sessions, or other activities taking place within the virtual event
  • Participants must comply with the instructions of any moderator, instructor, speaker, etc. during the virtual event
  • Unless authorized, virtual event participant presentations, postings, messages (public or private), and other forms of communication should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services
  • Any unauthorized presentations, postings, messages, or other forms of communication will be deleted by show management and the sources of these unauthorized messages will be removed from the virtual event
  • Participants should not copy and/or take screen shots of any educational materials or presentations, proprietary or privileged information, trade show booth materials or presentations, Q-and-A sessions, chat room activity, or other relevant interactions that occur during the virtual event
  • Participants should not distribute any audio or visual recordings of the virtual event, via social media or any other means, without explicit permission from GCSAA and the Presenting Partners
  • Participants should refrain from use of intoxicating substances, such as alcohol or drugs, while participating in the virtual event
  • Certain special events in the virtual platform may permit alcohol consumption, of a reasonable amount and in a responsible manner, as part of the socialization aspect for that special event
