Tee off your tournament experience with this fun event that’s filled with contests, camaraderie and friendly competition.
You and your partner will each play your own ball (you can choose a partner or request to be assigned one from the pool of players). The lower score between you will be the score for the hole. There is no penalty if your partner does not complete the hole.
Up to four flights will be available; however, you and your partner cannot exceed a combined handicap index of 45. Only one golfer with professional status may play on a team.
This one-day fun event will feature a traditional shamble format. Can’t make it for the rest of the tournament? No problem! This event is stand-alone and open to all members. Make plans to network with industry experts, enjoy a day of golf on the prominent course and unwind with your peers at the 19th Hole Reception.
Choose your own foursome (or request to be paired randomly from the pool of players). The two low balls in each foursome will be counted and flighted by score.
As the longest running and most popular of all tournament events, the Golf Classic is a two-day flighted tournament open to all skill levels. Enjoy camaraderie and relaxed competition while developing new friendships and pick up tips and techniques from your peers in the industry.
The Golf Classic will use the point quota scoring system. A point quota for each round is established by subtracting your verified handicap index from 36.
The maximum allowable handicap index for point system scoring is 30. If you have a handicap index over 30, you will be assigned the minimum of six points per day.
Taking your point total for the round and subtracting it from the quota for the round will calculate the net score.
The GCSAA National Championship is a 36-hole stroke-play event that will put your game to the test against the best in the business.
It is open to the first 100 entrants with a verified handicap index of 5.0 and below. An overall champion, as well as a senior champion (age 50 and over), will be crowned. Play begins each day at 8 a.m. with 1st and 10th tee starting times.
If you are competing in the National Championship or the Golf Classic, you can also opt in to the Chapter Team Competition to find out which GCSAA-affiliated chapter has the best golfers. A gross and net winner will be crowned, with 75 percent of the entry fees being paid back to the winning chapters. Form your team strategically and take some cash home to your chapter!
The entry fee is $20 per person. Registration of chapter teams begins in December and continues until the close of registration. Each chapter team may have five competitors with the best four scores counting toward the total.
All team members must belong to the chapter they are representing. Only one team member may be a golfer with professional status, and only one team member may be a GCSAA affiliate member. A chapter may have more than one team in the competition, but a competitor may not participate on more than one chapter team.
The following fun contests will be included in the Four-Ball, Shamble and Golf Classic event, earning the winners a $50 GCSAA gift certificate:
Hole-in-one prizes will be awarded on all par-3 holes in the Four-Ball, Shamble, Golf Classic and National Championship.
