Stanley J. Kostka, Ph.D., is a visiting scholar at Penn State Berks. Kostka has spent 25 years in discovery, development and commercialization of novel soil surfactant and agrichemical formulations for turfgrass, floriculture, horticulture and agronomic crops. He is a recognized expert in the management of water repellency in soils and horticultural substrates. Kostka has spoken globally on soil-water-plant interactions in the rootzone and rhizosphere environments, and on surfactant and biostimulant enhancement of turfgrass performance.
Kostka has authored more than 40 technical research papers, holds 14 patents and has five patent applications pending domestically and internationally.
