Lisa M. Barton is currently the grounds manager and horticulturist at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md. She started off her professional career at Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. Barton then went on to work extensively in the commercial and high-end residential landscape industry for almost a decade while going back to school for horticulture at Temple University Ambler.
After having the first of her three lively children, she entered the golf course industry at Llanerch Country Club in Havertown, Pa., and started her landscape design and installation business, Barton Garden Designs LLC.
When the kids started school, Barton started at Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club in Fort Washington, Pa., to be closer to home. In the spring of 2016, she accepted a wonderful opportunity at Woodmont Country Club, where she is happy to grow her career and lots of fun plants on a much larger piece of land. She has a flare for expressing herself through bold, creative, colorful landscape designs and displays. When not on property, she would enjoy sleeping but instead dedicates her time to mountains of laundry, endless dishes and escorting her children to sporting events in her super cool mini van. Barton is thrilled to present and to be part of this conference...and for a nice quiet hotel.
