presented in partnership with the American Society of Golf Course Architects
Golf course architects are students of the game of golf: studying the classic holes and applying principles of strategic design honed over the ages. ASGCA President John Sanford and a panel of ASGCA architects want to share those principles with superintendents and owners. Sanford believes a better understanding of strategic design has a direct relationship with improved course maintenance practices. The panel will describe what strategic design is, how to recognize it, provide examples and engage in discussion on how to apply this knowledge to course management.
