presented by the American Society of Irrigation Consultants and the Irrigation Association
During the selection process for a golf irrigation system, which cable communication options will you consider: two-wire, multi single-wire, or both? If two-wire, which installation techniques will work best for your facility? This session will present information on the options available for golf course irrigation wire, wire connections and lightning protection, with an emphasis on the use of a two-wire system. Industry representatives will discuss preliminary design decisions, product selection, installation techniques, wire connections and lightning protection options, repairs and maintenance of two-wire systems, the installation of “hybrid” two/ multi single-wiring systems, and the costs associated with each system. Attendees should gain knowledge that will help them decide if two-wire cabling is an appropriate choice for their next golf course irrigation project.
