(1143-01) Successful golf course management requires a delicate balance between the art and the science of greenkeeping, especially given the never-ending economic challenges and pressures related to the use of key resources. This seminar will give participants an overview of the USGA Resource Management tool, GPS loggers to analyze golfer and maintenance patterns, and data-driven decision models. Attendees will receive case study example materials to review and discuss how these tools were used successfully and how superintendents can implement them at their own facilities to:

• Better manage operation and capital equipment budgets
• Easily adopt water and nutrient reductions in low-traffic areas to manage high-quality turf
• Adjust key management and maintenance practices to conserve resources, save costs, and improve efficiency
