Travis W. Gannon, Ph.D. 


Travis Gannon, Ph.D., is an associate professor at North Carolina State University, where he earned his bachelor’s, masters and Ph.D., with concentrations in turfgrass management and weed science. He leads a research program investigating the fate and behavior of pesticides and trace elements in soil, plants, air and water.

Gannon has experience working on a golf course crew, and the past research trials he lead were conducted in various turfgrass environments, including golf courses and athletic fields. He also teaches two graduate level courses, pesticide chemistry and pesticide fate and behavior, as well as mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students.
