Tommy D. Witt, CGCS, is a former GCSAA board member, served as president of the association in 2001, and was GCSAA’s Distinguished Service Award recipient in 2005. He is the director of golf course operations at Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park, Illinois.
Witt has a BS degree in turfgrass management from Texas A&M University. His background serves as a great resource for helping you develop a much stronger career path as a golf course superintendent. Witt has managed golf courses for the past 35 years and has been active in virtually every area of the golf course superintendent profession and GCSAA. His involvement and participation in myriad programs at GCSAA give him a unique perspective about our profession and the golf industry. Witt is a frequent speaker and instructor at GCSAA, PGA and CMAA educational venues across the country.
