Fernando Fernandez, CGCS, has been a certified golf course superintendent for 24 years and is the golf course superintendent at Souhegan Woods Golf Club in Amherst, N.H. He earned an associate of science degree in park and grounds operations management and an associate of science degree in horticulture with emphasis on turfgrass management in 1990 from William Rainy Harper Collage in Palatine Ill.

Fernandez has been leading private, public, municipal, golf and country clubs his entire career. He has dedicated the last 27 years to the understanding and management of localized dry spot and has dedicated the last 22 years to the understanding and management of lean management (TPS) The Toyota Production System on different types of facilities, from private, public and municipal.
