Golf Industry Show introduces a technology - RFID

You may not notice it right away, but a new technology debuting at the 2008 Golf Industry Show will make it possible to bring new enhancements to your overall trade show experience.

This year, your badge will contain a small RFID (radio frequency identification) chip. As you enter and exit the trade show floor, you will pass through "lanes" that record your badge identification number. In this way, Golf Industry Show management will be better able to analyze trade show attendance, timing and traffic flow. Lanes will also be placed at the entrance to the main ballroom in the convention center so that more accurate attendance numbers can be recorded at major events. Please note that RFID badges are completely safe, and that there are no health risks associated with wearing them.

This technology will allow Golf Industry Show management to enhance the show floor layout, better position signage and services, and make it even easier to navigate the floor and find the exhibitors you would like to visit.
